Message from the President

Dear CPCOA members:
KIMA Television in Yakima had a news item about the completion of the Highway 410 detour around the landslide area. While it’s nice to know the work is complete, the story highlights on of the consequences of the slide, which has been the adverse impact it’s had on businesses such as Whistlin’ Jack Lodge. Some of their employees won’t be having a very merry Christmas due to having been laid off.
As we celebrate this holiday season I’d like to recommend that whenever possible we spend a little of our time and money with businesses up and down the pass. Several of them have been strong supporters of our organization, donating door prizes, etc. to our meetings, and deserve our support in return. While some of you live on the west side of the state or elsewhere and won’t be visiting your cabins over the winter, I urge those of us who do have access during the winter to stop and have a meal, make a purchase or otherwise let them know that the CPCOA appreciates what they do for us.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and look forward to our next meeting when we can again be together and share our stories and the company of each other. With warm regards,
Mike Berriochoa
