Message from the President

December 3, 2009

Dear CPCOA members:

I hope you and yours are well and happy this holiday season. As cabin owners we have much to be thankful for in spite of the challenges we face.

Just to keep you informed, here is an update from National Forest Homeowners President Geoff Anderson explaining what transpired during 2009 on our behalf with regard to the Cabin User Fee Fairness Act. It also identifies future goals plus the need for continued financial support from cabin owners and cabin tracts as we continue to seek legislative solutions to this and other related issues. Legislative resolution from Congress is vital to keeping the recreational residence program affordable and available. As you will see, much progress has been made but more needs to be done.

I want to extend my personal thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement as we have grappled with this issue.

I wish you only the best this holiday season and, like you, look forward to the continued enjoyment of my cabin and the surrounding forest.

With warm regards,

 Mike Berriochoa
